Occasionally, huge mats of these Jelly Fish wash up upon west
coast shores. For miles in either direction one can see a line a blue
marking the high tide line.
Vellala Vela (spelling?), commonly known as By the Wind
Sailors due to their upraised membrane, float on the surface of the ocean, at
the mercy of the tides and winds.
