A Bit of a Bio...Liam
McNeil spent his youth exploring
many of the forests and waters of Vancouver Island. Having moved to
Tofino, on the west coast, he has taken that passion into the world of
Sea-Kayaking.
Liam is a Level Three Guide with Class Four Waters Endorsement with the Sea
Kayak Guides Alliance of BC (www.skgabc.com),
Wilderness First Aid trained, and a SAR Manager and Team Leader with Westcoast Inland Search and
Rescue.
Having spent years living in tents, float homes, and bush
cabins, Liam has a broad understanding of what it takes to stay comfortable
in the wilderness. Sea-kayaking has allowed him to spend the summer
months living in the outdoors, often over 100 days each year.
Committed to helping conserve our wilderness areas, Liam
strives to travel 'no-trace' while in the wilds. Recognizing
that one can never fully understand any subject, he continues to learn, train, and seek new experiences in a broad
range of categories, from university courses, self-study, and physical
activities.
