Passing Orca

While paddling on the water, the Orca are aware of ones presence.  However, when standing on land, we are removed from their world, and, seemingly, their perception.

Here a pod of whales skirt the shoreline, perhaps searching for fish, or to rub on the smooth stones along the bottom.  Paddling in the Johnstone Straight can bring close encounters at any time.  As this whale passed I could have jumped into the water and grabbed a hold.
