The sun slips beyond the horizon, highlighting the clouds in
the distance.
The Nuchatlitz, on the north side of Nootka Is, is a gem on
the west coast of Vancouver Island. With few populated villages nearby, one
can spend days where the only other people present are early morning sport
fishermen. Boosting some of the best paddling on the outer coast, it is
also home to a huge annual Spring Salmon run.
